Daily rental rates are based on a 24-hour rental day beginning at the time of rental. Minimum charge is 48 hours, plus mileage if applicable.

Mileage charges, if applicable, will be the number of kilometers driven as determined by the odometer readings at the beginning and end of the rental recorded in the Rental Agreement.

The rental price is subject to increase if the vehicle is returned 24 hours after the scheduled return time.

Delays in returning the vehicle after our 40-minute grace period from the return time noted in the Rental Agreement will be charged as a full day’s rental at the day’s current rate;

If the renter fails to comply with the terms and conditions applicable in the tariff, including geographic driving restrictions, mileage fees, unauthorized out-of-state charges, surcharges or other rates may apply.

The car is delivered cleaned inside and out.

It is the tenant’s responsibility to return it in the condition in which they received it.

If you are unable to take the vehicle to a car wash for exterior and interior cleaning before returning it, you will owe a fee, “Cleaning” – 10€, by

usual contamination;

You owe a fee for “Additional cleaning” – 20€ if, after your rental, the LESSOR invests more time than the usual cleaning time;

Fee for “Additional cleaning” – 40€ is withheld in very dirty cars;

Smoking and transporting pets in our vehicles is prohibited !

ONLY bank cards branded with the VISA and MasterCard are accepted; the card must be valid for the entire rental period.

Citizens of countries outside the European Union leave a Deposit by card only.

The Renter agrees that the amount deposited from a credit/debit card issued in his/her name, provided at the beginning of the rental, will serve as an indemnity to cover fuel, fees, fines and other incidentals. The same applies to the amount deposited in cash. When authorizing the Deposit by bank card, he declares his unconditional consent to the Landlord to withdraw amounts in excess of the Deposit in cases provided for in the Rental Agreement.

To cover damages, lost keys and in all cases where the Lessee’s property liability exceeds the amount of the retained Deposit, the Lessee shall remain liable in full for damages and lost profits. The company’s final statement containing the value estimate of the damage will be issued as soon as possible after inspection of the vehicle.

1/ Credit card deposit – at the time of picking up the car, the Renter leaves a deposit, the amount of which depends on the category of the car, this amount is refundable within 20 working days, if the car is returned without new remarks, in the form in which it is rented, there are no shortages, damages and the General Terms and Conditions of the Rental Agreement are observed.

2/ Cash/debit card deposit- can only be left in the event of full SCDW cover being purchased. Cash deposit is double. For some cars there is no option to leave a cash deposit.

Deposits of all customers who return an uncleaned car without the possibility of inspection, as well as when returning the car outside the usual conditions / in case of damage, inability to inspect due to poor meteorological conditions, etc. / are refunded in the following days by bank transfer to an account provided by the Renter;

In case the payment was made with a bank card and due to the company’s fault the rental did not take place the refund will be made by ordering a reverse transaction on the card with which the payment was made at the latest 72 hours before the start of the rental without charges.

The LESSOR is not responsible for the refund of the Deposit for reasons concerning the validity of the card, lost, stolen, reissued cards.


BestDeals Rent a car cars can only be driven by licensed drivers. All eligible drivers must meet our age requirements, have a valid driver’s license, provide a permanent address, a primary credit or debit card in their name when paying with it.

No other person is authorized to drive the vehicle!

BestDeals Rent a car requires you to have a driver’s license issued by your country of residence and valid for the entire rental period.

Damaged or broken driving licenses, ID cards, passports are not accepted and booking may be refused.

EUMS issued by the Republic of Bulgaria

Driver’s licenses issued by the Republic of Bulgaria must be presented with a control coupon attached to them.

Foreign driver’s license

The foreign driver’s license must be issued by the country of residence of the hirer and the additional driver.

The foreign driver’s license is accepted only for a stay in the country of less than six months and against a certificate of the date of entry into the country /stamp of passport or boarding card/.
Non-EU nationals must present an International Driving Permit (IDP) when renting a car.

If the SME driving license was issued by a country that did not sign the Vienna Convention of 08.11.1968, it is necessary to present an international driver’s license (IDP) or the original SUMPS and a legalized translation thereof.


In order to rent a car you need to have:

1/ Over 24 years of age and a minimum driving experience of 3 years;

2/ Car rental by 68-75 year olds:

  • A one-off fee of €50 applies to drivers between 68 and 75 years of age;
  • Mandatory purchase of full coverage- SCDW
  • Security Deposit in double amount;


Each additional driver is required to prove his legal capacity to drive the vehicle. BestDeals Rent a car requires all additional drivers to meet our age requirements, have a valid driver’s license and pay an additional additional driver fee if applicable.

Only one additional driver can be added to the contract. It can be added at any time during the rental period as long as the other conditions are met.

The additional driver must be present at the time of the rental to sign the Rental Agreement.


For all upcoming car reservations, BestDeals Rent a car requires you to make an advance payment. Payments can be in cash, by bank transfer, Western Union, MoneyGram, at any Easy Pay cashier, by bank card;

The minimum advance payment is €50.

The deposit is NOT REFUNDABLE in case of cancellation/no-show for a reason other than Kovid!


With our car you can make the desired trip abroad. Countries neighbouring Bulgaria /Greece, North Macedonia, Serbia, Romania and the European part of Turkey/ are allowed to exit:

1/ The minimum rental period when travelling abroad is 7 days;

2/ The renter is obliged to provide information about the country he/she wishes to travel to at least 3 days in advance;

3/ There is a one-time fee “Travel abroad”- 60€/120 BGN when visiting one of the listed countries, for each subsequent country there is a fee of 50€/100 BGN;

4/ When travelling abroad, the security deposit is double;

5/ Full Coverage – SCDW must be purchased;

For countries outside of the above, it is necessary to send a written inquiry to our email indicating as many details as possible regarding the trip. We will prepare you an individual offer. In the case of individual offers for going abroad, a price is given for a certain mileage, if the agreed mileage is exceeded, an additional fee is paid for each kilometer traveled.

Going abroad is only possible with the express written permission of the Landlord. Any attempt to leave the country without permission will be considered a violation of the Rental Agreement! In case of violation a compensation of 500€ is due!

In case of a claim by third parties against the Lessor for the period of unregulated departure outside the borders of the country, the Lessee assumes financial responsibility for the culpably caused damages.



What to do in an accident abroad – here


Where there is an applicable mileage limit, please refer to the first page of the Rental Agreement for the daily mileage allowed; there may be different limits for gasoline and diesel vehicles;

All vehicles are subject to a maximum mileage of 3600km for rentals between 18 days and 30 days, i.e. 120km/day included in the price;

In case of exceeding the current price list will be charged.


Our cars are always delivered with a full tank.

You can choose between two options for charging the car:


It gives you the opportunity to buy the fuel in the tank and there is no need to fill up before the vehicle is returned.

Buy the fuel during the hire and you can return at any level. The price is competitive with local gas station prices.

Unused fuel is not refunded.


You have the commitment to refuel before returning. Make sure the fuel level in the tank is topped up.

You will need to provide a receipt from the last filling station you filled up at.

The vehicle must be loaded in the town of. Sofia and at most 13 km from the return point.

1/ If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank, the customer will be charged a fine of 10€ and 2€ for each litre of fuel needed to fill the tank;

2/ If the vehicle is filled with incorrect fuel by the Hirer, he is liable in full for the damage caused.


  • Additional driver:up to one additional driver is allowed in the rental contract free of charge;
  • Children’s highchairs
  • Snow chains – free of charge
  • 4G mobile WI-Fi internet

The device for 4G mobile Wi-Fi internet is FOR USE WITHIN THE COUNTRY ONLY, in all other cases, make an inquiry on our phones, the price will be different from the one mentioned above.

  • Car boxes – on request;
  • Ski/Snowboard luggage – free of charge
  • Bicycle rack – free of charge


Vehicle pickup/return is free during office hours;

Outside these hours, the following charges apply for office and Sofia Airport locations:
1/ Out of hours fee between 18.00-24.00 and 24.00-09.00, in the amount of 15€ /30 BGN/.

Working hours: Monday – Friday 09:00h – 18:00h, Saturday and Sunday 10.00-16.00h.

On public holidays – Easter, Christmas (24.12, 25.12, 26.12), New Year (31.12, 01.01) the fees are as follows:
09:00-18:00 – 15 €;
19:00-09:00 – 30 €.

The Hirer shall be fully responsible for the cost of repairing any damage found to the vehicle which is not clearly noted in the Acceptance and Handover Protocol to the Rental Agreement. A representative of BestDeals Rent a car can establish the damage with a delay, but not later than 48 hours from the return of the car. Renter agrees to be billed for damages to the vehicle discovered no later than 48 hours after return of the car. The company’s final statement containing the value estimate of the damage will be issued as soon as possible after inspection of the vehicle.


1/ A fee for a SINGLE RENTAL applies when:

The rented vehicle is returned to a location other than the rental location with prior entry of this in the Rental Agreement.

In the event of a return to a different location from the rental location /different office or city/ a one-way rental fee will be charged.

For locations in Sofia the fee is 10€.

For returns to other cities in the country, an individual price is given.

It is not possible to return the vehicle to another country.

The company reserves the right to refuse a one-way return.

2/ CAR DELIVERY – the company delivers cars to the customer’s address only in the town of. The delivery fee is 30 BGN / 15€ one way;


In all cases of no-show without prior notice, the reservation will be cancelled from the vehicle’s schedule. “Failure to appear” is any case where the Tenant:

– requested to cancel the reservation, but did not inform the company before it started;

– is prevented from picking up the car at the agreed time and has not notified the company; exceptions are customers who have requested to arrive by flight and have provided their flight number, and where the delay or no-show is due to flight delay/cancellation;

– fails to provide valid documents required when picking up the vehicle;

– does not have available funds to pay the full amount of the booking and/or cannot leave a deposit for the car, according to the conditions or class. The company only keeps the vehicle for up to 1 hour if the Hirer has not warned of a longer delay in advance.

All prepayments made at the time of booking will be refunded if an alternative car cannot be provided.


1/ If the Hirer wishes to extend his/her booking, he/she must send a request by email or phone call to our office at least 48 hours before the contract expires. The price for extending a reservation is calculated according to the current price list based on the total number of rental days.

2/ When extending the rental of vehicles driven outside the country, the one-time “Going Abroad” fee is applied again;

We recommend asking to extend your reservation as early as possible due to the risk of running out of stock.

IMPORTANT! Following confirmation by the Landlord of the option to extend the tenancy, the Tenant must make payment for the additional rental days to confirm the extension. Once payment has been made, the necessary documents will be available at the company office where the vehicle was delivered.

3/ The Renter shall not drive the Rental Vehicle with an expired, unexpired or unpaid Rental Agreement. In any such case, the company reserves the right to declare the vehicle stolen from the Renter and to pursue its rights using all legal means to recover the costs, including the market price of the vehicle, together with lost profits!

4/ The Company reserves the right to refuse a rental extension request.


Failure to comply with the deadline for returning the vehicle is prohibited!

Each Tenant has a 40-minute grace period. With prior notice and company permission, delays of up to 2 hours will be accepted at no additional charge.

In case of late return of the vehicle, the Renter must pay a penalty of:

  • 2 to 6 hours late – the cost of one rental day;
  • from 6 hours to 12- the value of two rental days;
  • in case of delay WITHOUT WARNING over 12 hours, the company reserves the right to impose a fine of 100€ per day + the rental price per day.

The rental price is according to the current price list for the day;


Tenant’s liability for damage and theft:

  • Included in the rental price are insurances limiting the tenant’s liability in case of damage /CDW/ and in case of theft /TP/ to a certain amount called Excess or damage/theft fee.
  • The amount of the damage/theft fee /Excess/ is the amount of Your Deposit.

SCDW+TP – Full coverage

Once you have hired a car from us you may choose to pay a “Discharge of Liability” fee, also known as SCDW+TP, this is voluntary. It discharges you only upon presentation of a report from the Police /CAT/.

Return of all documents and keys of the vehicle and does not apply in case of driving the vehicle after use of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicating substances or in case of failure to comply with your other obligations as a Renter detailed in our Terms and Conditions. It gives you the following rights:

  • In case of accident, damage, fire or theft your deposit will be refunded in full
  • In case of accident, damage, fire or theft on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria you will receive a replacement car;
  • In the event of an accident, damage or fire on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria the cost of transport and roadside assistance of the damaged vehicle will be paid by us;
  • In the event of an accident, damage or fire on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, the cost of transport and roadside assistance of the damaged vehicle will be paid by us;

Insurance does not cover damage to tires, wheels, windows, undercarriage, interior, lights. The interior of the car is not included in any of these insurances.

* Civil liability insurance is included in the price and the terms of its coverage are according to Bulgarian legislation. A copy of the verification document is available in the vehicle.

At BestDeals Rent a car we value and encourage responsible driving and compliance with the Road Traffic Act and its implementing regulations. We urge you to be more tolerant on the road and obey speed limits; hit the road relaxed and don’t get behind the wheel after drinking alcohol or using illegal substances;

Any failure to comply with the requirements of the Road Traffic Act and its Implementing Regulations shall invalidate the full cover purchased by you and you shall be liable in full for the damages and loss of profit caused; In the event of an accident or damage caused by the Hirer, as well as in the event of “no fault” and “mutual fault”, the Hirer shall be liable in full for damages and loss of profit calculated in accordance with our tariff;


1/ Smoking in cars is strictly prohibited! Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

2/ Transporting animals is prohibited! Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

3/ It is forbidden to use the vehicle to tow another vehicle! Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

4/ Driving on unpaved roads, forest roads, off-road roads, etc. is prohibited. In case of non-compliance the entire deposit will be forfeited.

5/ It is forbidden to drive the rented car by persons not listed in the rental contract. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

6/ It is forbidden to use the vehicle for illegal activities!

7/ Driving restrictions:

7.1/ Driving is allowed without restrictions in the country where you have rented the car. Any driving outside the area is prohibited without written permission. In case of violation of this rule, the Renter is fully liable for all costs in case of damage to the vehicle; a fine of EUR 500.00 is imposed.


Tenant shall be solely responsible for all traffic and parking fines received during the tenancy, as well as any other violation of law and the consequences thereof.

If the penalties described above are paid by BestDeals Rent a car, the renter will be charged the full amount of the penalty and a processing fee of -10€;

Upon request by the Renter, BestDeals Rent a car will provide him/her with a copy of any notice of violation arising out of his/her use of the Vehicle and paid by BestDeals Rent a car.

In case of lost vehicle documents, the renter will be charged EUR 250.00 plus EUR 50.00 per day when the vehicle cannot be used; maximum EUR 500.00.

In case of lost car keys, the renter will be charged EUR 250.00 plus EUR 50.00 per day when the car cannot be used; maximum EUR 500.00.

If the rental company receives a request from the police regarding the driver’s details, the renter will be charged EUR 15.00 per request without further notice

Administrative fees

An administrative fee of €100 is payable in all cases of traffic accidents, regardless of fault.

The values quoted do not cover the cost of repairing damage to the interior of the car, upholstery, dashboard, seats, etc. In the event of interior damage, this will be paid for after assessment by an official repairer, plus an administration fee.


The Renter is fully responsible for repair costs for any damages found on the vehicle that are not clearly identified in the Rental Agreement.

For damages to the car body, in the absence of full SCDW coverage, the Hirer shall be charged a minimum of BGN 200 per part plus VAT and provided that the damage does not represent deformation of the part, missing, breaking, cracking, in all other cases the amount of damage shall be determined in a trusted workshop.

Collision and Damage waiver (CDW)

Every vehicle
The hirer will be held responsible for any damage to the vehicle, including tyres and rims, even if they are not personally responsible for the incident. In the event of a total loss of a car, the renter’s liability depends on the car group; more information can be found in the rental contract. CDW does not cover damage to the interior and interior accessories and does not cover cracks in the windshield.

The Hirer will be liable for the full amount of the repair costs/full value of the vehicle in the event of total loss of the vehicle if the damage is caused by an act of negligence caused by the influence of alcohol or other drugs or the insurance company classifies the accident as a non-insurable event /serious traffic offence/.

The hirer is liable to pay the full cost of repairs to the hired vehicle in the event that the accident or significant damage has not been properly reported to the police and BestDeals Rent a car plus EUR 20 per day for each day that the vehicle is immobilised.

Super Collision and Damage Waiver (SCDW):

By accepting and paying the additional fee per day, the Renter’s liability for damages is waived. Each car group has specific SCDW charges. Please see our booking page for details. SCDW does not cover damage to interior accessories, nor does it cover cases of negligence caused while under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants. It also does not relieve liability in the event of theft of the vehicle.

Theft Protection (TP):

Each group of cars has a specific amount of excess. Please see our booking page for details. In the event of theft of keys, remote control and/or registration card with the vehicle, the Hirer shall be liable for the vehicle up to its full value.

Technical malfunction:

In the event that a vehicle suffers from a technical fault or damage due to misuse, neglect or any other cause caused by the Hirer of the vehicle, the Hirer shall be fully responsible for the direct and potential indirect costs of repair.

Filing and handling complaints

If you have any problems during your trip that cannot be resolved on the spot by a BestDeals rent a car representative, you must notify us in writing by sending an email to .

Please make sure to write all the details of the case in question so that we can take appropriate measures to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Any complaints emailed to us at after the end of the trip will be dealt with, but we apologise in advance that at this later stage we cannot change what has already happened, which would make your holiday more enjoyable.
